Zodiac is derived from the Greek word meaning circle of animals. The Zodiac itself is a wheel, a cycle that shows the order of all, the twelve Zodiac or astrological signs. The twelve signs are derived from the twelve lunar cycles or months when the sun returns to its original position. The twelve signs are also identified by twelve constellations that help lead the sequence and movement of the seasons. These signs are each broken down into elements, qualities, ruling planets and houses. In order, the Zodiac signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
